Bio & CV

        Lyta Christian is a non-binary interdisciplinary artist based in

Baltimore. They received a BFA in General Fine Arts from the Maryland

Institute College of Art in 2021. During their time at MICA, Lyta received

MICA’s DaVinci Award, Creative Vision Award, Creative Leadership Award,

Academic Excellence Scholarship, and made Dean’s list. Their work spans

many media, but focuses mostly on fiber work, oil-based media, and

gameplay within art. Common themes in their work are inner-perception and

identity. They are most proud of their Ukrainian embroidery project, a series

of embroidered banner patterns that recount the history and strength of

Ukrainian culture. Other notable works include “Fashion Impact” a wearable

art piece created by Lyta in 2016 as part of the ManneqArt Competition which won the “Christine and George Bachrach High School Artist” Award, and the ongoing project “Journey of the Bicameral Mind”, an interactive art piece that utilizes web design, puzzle-building, and story-telling.
